## About the Role

Switched On Solutions (SOS) is looking for experienced, motivated and reliable Data Cabling Engineers to join our growing network, working on projects across London and the surrounding areas.

We deliver quality cabling and infrastructure solutions for a wide range of clients, and we're looking for engineers who take pride in their work, have a positive attitude and are committed to getting the job done right., We're looking for engineers who are:

 * Experienced, with a minimum of 3 years' data cabling experience
 * Positive, proactive and keen to learn
 * Reliable, punctual and committed to excellent timekeeping
 * Professional, with good communication skills
 * Able to work independently and as part of a team
 * Happy to take ownership of their work and deliver high-quality results
 * Willing to travel to projects across London and the surrounding areas, living within approximately 1-2 hours' travel of London
 * Hold a full UK driving licence

Qualifications and tickets:

 * ECS or CSCS card required, or willingness to obtain one if accepted by the project requirements
 * IPAF and relevant structured cabling or fibre qualifications are advantageous

## Description

* Installing, terminating and testing Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A data cabling
 * Fibre optic installation and associated works
 * Cable pulling, routing, dressing and containment installation
 * Terminating data outlets and patch panels
 * Comms room and cabinet installations
 * Testing, labelling and fault finding
 * Troubleshooting and resolving cabling issues
 * Following industry standards, site RAMS and health & safety procedures
 * Working alongside project managers, clients and other engineers to deliver projects to a high standard
