## About the Role

* Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline
 * Significant experience within a mechanical design or product development environment
 * Strong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar)
 * Experience designing machinery, automation equipment, or complex mechanical systems
 * Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
 * Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams
 * Previous experience mentoring or leading engineers would be advantageous

## Description

* Leading the mechanical design of bespoke machinery/automation equipmentManaging projects through the full product development lifecycle
 * Producing detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
 * Driving design improvements to enhance performance, reliability and manufacturability
 * Supporting prototype development, testing and validation activities
 * Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
 * Liaising with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth product delivery
 * Working directly with customers to develop and deliver innovative engineering solutions
