## About the Role

* A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline; or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. (Note: a Master's degree is preferred).
 * At least eight (8) years of programming experience in software development or maintenance.
 * At least five (5) years of experience in IT systems analysis and programming., * Experience supporting the Maryland Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) or another state's MMIS.
 * 5 years of experience in IBM z/OS mainframe application development and support.
 * 5 years of experience and proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, ISPF, and TSO.
 * Experience with debugging and performance tools such as Xpeditor, File-AID, and QMF.
 * Experience with Information Builders FOCUS.

## Description

* Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain applications and programming solutions supporting MMIS business operations.
 * Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into application designs, technical specifications, and programming solutions.
 * Develop and maintain program documentation, operating procedures, technical specifications, and user support materials.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production issues, and system performance problems, including participation in on-call support as needed.
 * Collaborate with technical teams and business users to identify improvements, support system enhancements, and ensure successful delivery of technology solutions
