This frontline leadership role is responsible for guiding the team's execution across engineering development efforts, including planning, research and development, and program execution in support of projects, pursuits, and programs. The Software Engineering Manager is also responsible for key functional leadership areas, including workforce and resource planning, recruiting, training, talent development, employee engagement, and retention. This leader will work proactively with functional and business leadership to align staffing, technical execution, and team capabilities with evolving program and business needs. In this role, the selected candidate will regularly communicate and collaborate with stakeholders both inside and outside the organization, including customers and vendors. The position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to engage leadership on matters important to the function or business area, including providing briefings to senior leaders.
