## About the Role

We're particularly interested in developers who have a strong commercial background in full-stack software engineering and enjoy working across both frontend and backend technologies.

Essential Experience

 * At least 4 years' commercial software development experience.
 * Strong experience developing applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
 * Experience with Next.js and Node.js.
 * Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
 * Working knowledge of SQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
 * Experience using Git/GitHub and modern development workflows.
 * A good understanding of application architecture, performance and maintainability.
 * Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a small development team.

Highly Desirable

 * Commercial mobile application development experience using React Native, Capacitor, Ionic or a comparable framework.
 * Experience building or maintaining applications deployed to iOS and Android.
 * Familiarity with AWS services such as Amplify, S3 or RDS.
 * Experience developing secure, business-critical applications.
 * Previous experience within financial services, fintech or another regulated environment.

## Description

* Developing and enhancing full-stack web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js.
 * Building new features and improving the functionality, performance and reliability of existing applications.
 * Contributing to mobile application development using React Native, Capacitor or similar technologies.
 * Designing, developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
 * Working with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL.
 * Collaborating closely with the wider technology team to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
 * Supporting application testing, troubleshooting and ongoing improvements.
 * Contributing to technical discussions, architecture decisions and development best practices.
 * Working with AWS cloud services and modern development tools.

The position is expected to involve a combination of web and mobile development, with an initial focus split approximately 50/50 between the two.
