You'll need a good understanding of Windows and Microsoft 365. Experience with some of the following would be a bonus: * Microsoft Intune * Microsoft Defender * Entra ID * Exchange Online * Conditional Access * SharePoint and OneDrive * Microsoft Autopilot * Networking and firewalls * macOS * RMM platforms * PSA/ticketing systems, We're not looking for someone who already knows everything. We're looking for someone who's technically curious, good with people and genuinely enjoys figuring things out. Someone who wants variety rather than being stuck doing the same tasks every day. Someone who takes ownership. And someone who enjoys that little moment when the thing that wasn't working... finally works. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Less script reading. More problem solving. ## Description Most of your time will be based in Basingstoke, but sometimes the best way to fix something is to actually be there. You'll therefore make occasional customer site visits, including London, for technical support, deployments and project work. This isn't a London-based role and you won't be expected to travel into London several times a week. What will you actually be doing? Honestly? Quite a lot of different things. One day you might be troubleshooting someone's Outlook. The next you could be investigating a security incident, setting up a new laptop, working with Intune, looking into a network problem or helping improve a customer's Microsoft 365 environment. That's what makes the job interesting. You'll get involved with: * Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive * Intune and device management * Microsoft Defender and cyber security * Windows and macOS * Laptop and device deployments * Networking, Wi-Fi, firewalls and connectivity * VPNs * MFA and Conditional Access * Phishing and compromised account investigations * Customer onboarding and offboarding * Autopilot and automated deployments * Proactive IT and security checks * Customer projects and office moves We're big on ownership If a customer comes to you with a problem, they should feel like someone's actually taken responsibility for getting it sorted. That doesn't mean you need to know the answer immediately. It means you'll investigate it, ask the right questions, speak to the customer, keep them updated and pull in other people when you need them. Sometimes the best engineer isn't the person who knows the answer. It's the person who's determined to find it. What we actually care about You'll probably enjoy this role if you: * Love figuring out how things work. * Actually enjoy troubleshooting. * Take ownership rather than passing problems around. * Don't hide behind email when a phone call would solve something quicker. * Can explain technical things without making them sound technical. * Know when to keep digging and when to ask for help. * Write decent ticket notes. * Notice when something isn't right and do something about it. * Want to keep learning new technology. * Care about giving customers a genuinely good experience.
