## About the Role

* 1+ year of purchasing experience, ideally in manufacturing
 * Hands-on SAP expertise on the procurement/purchasing side - immediate proficiency required
 * Ability to interpret MRP outputs to determine what to buy and when
 * Strong communication, organization, and ownership mindset
 * Proficient to advanced user of Outlook, Teams, and Excel

Nice-to-have extras

 * 3+ years of buying experience
 * Advanced Excel skills
 * Experience sourcing components/materials from outside vendors
 * Previous success in contract/project roles - perfect fit for this temporary backfill
 * No degree required; real SAP and Buyer experience take priority

## Description

We're placing two purchasing professionals with our client for a 4-6 month contract. You will execute SAP-driven buying activities to keep production supplied and on schedule. Aegis offers paid sick leave, and contractor benefits are available after 90 days.

What you'll do

 * Run MRP in SAP, review requirements, and convert demand into timely purchase orders
 * Create and place POs, secure vendor confirmations, and track delivery performance
 * Proactively expedite critical materials and resolve supplier or supply issues
 * Navigate SAP transaction codes (T-codes) confidently to manage purchasing workflows
 * Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Production, Accounting/AP, and suppliers
