## Description

An Associate Engineer on the Defense & Orchestration team helps deploy, operate, maintain, and continuously improve cybersecurity technologies that protect the organization from cyber threats. The role works closely with senior engineers to implement security controls, tune, and optimize security platforms, troubleshoot technical issues, support automation efforts, and assist with projects that improve the organization's overall security posture. Success in the role requires curiosity, continuous learning, collaboration, accountability, and a focus on reducing risk while minimizing disruption to the business., * Under direct supervision, supports the analysis and enforcement of security policies, and procedures that safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files and data elements, including system security profiles, security incidents/violations and exceptions.

 * Provides assistance in gathering threats collected from the various Corewell Health security tool and helps with the direct operational support of the business and DS staff for security-related matters.
 * Contributes to the security assessments and reviews of internally and externally hosted application and infrastructure systems to ensure security compliance.
 * Makes opportunities to expand your skills by learning from more experienced Security Engineers.
