## About the Role

* Proven experience working with multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure or Rackspace in designing scalable cloud solutions.
 * Strong background in virtualization technologies including VMware and Citrix; familiarity with Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), PaaS offerings, IaaS models, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Hands-on expertise in managing IT infrastructure through automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef or Puppet for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
 * Deep understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices development, RESTful API integration, web services architecture and application development best practices.
 * Knowledge of operating systems including Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments; experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell for system management tasks.
 * Experience working within Agile SDLC frameworks; familiarity with DevOps principles including CI/CD pipelines; proficiency in managing databases like MySQL or Oracle.
 * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex distributed systems at scale while ensuring high availability and security compliance.

 * Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet to automate deployment processes and ensure consistent system configurations.
 * Manage IT infrastructure components including virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V), container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker), and microservices architectures.
 * Implement and oversee security protocols including identity and access management (IAM) solutions, system hardening practices, VPNs, and network security measures to safeguard cloud assets.
 * Collaborate with development teams to integrate RESTful APIs, web services, and SaaS applications into scalable cloud architectures supporting Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives or other innovative projects.
 * Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and optimize scalability for distributed systems handling large volumes of data with NoSQL or SQL databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
 * Drive DevOps automation initiatives by scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python or Go; manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Git; and ensure reliable software deployment across environments.
