Reporting to the COO, you will lead a ~20-person organization built around two teams, IT and AI Ops, each with a Head already in place. The IT team covers Corporate IT, Cloud & Infra Ops and Cybersecurity, while the MLOps team enables researchers and engineers to develop, deploy, monitor, and reproduce data and model-driven workflows. You will work closely with Software, Firmware, Calibration, Quantum Hardware, Data, Security, People, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams to turn operational needs into robust, scalable, and elegant systems. Your role is to create leverage for the entire company: enabling scientists to iterate faster, engineers to deploy with confidence, employees to work seamlessly, and leadership to make decisions based on reliable data and robust operations. You will build systems that can scale with Alice & Bob's ambition through 2030 and beyond., * Lead and grow the IT & AI Ops organization Manage two Heads of (IT and AI Ops) and their respective teams. Define team structure, operating rhythms, hiring roadmap, and performance standards as the organization scales toward and beyond 20 people. * Own IT strategy and operations Set the direction for workplace technology, identity and access management, endpoint management, SaaS administration, support operations, asset lifecycle, vendor management, procurement, and documentation. Ensure a consistent, reliable IT experience across Paris, Aubervilliers, and remote contexts. * Build AI tooling and infrastructure for internal teams Define and execute the AI Ops strategy serving researchers, engineers, calibration, and data teams. Deliver reproducible experiment pipelines, version and data management, CI/CD for ML workflows, observability, and model lifecycle tooling, calibrated to the realities of a quantum hardware environment. * Own infrastructure, reliability, and security Lead the evolution of internal infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, lab-adjacent systems, networks, storage, and compute environments. Support data-heavy and experiment-driven workflows, including interfaces with software, HPC clusters, and lab systems. Lead the implementation of security controls, access governance, endpoint security, incident response, and business continuity. Drive ISO 27001, NIS2, and related compliance efforts. Protect Alice & Bob's intellectual property through enforceable, scalable, and non-blocking security practices. * Act as operational technology partner to the COO Own the IT & AI Ops roadmap, budget, and KPIs. Surface risks, infrastructure gaps, and capability investments to executive leadership. Translate operational complexity into clear decisions. ## Related Videos - [Running Secure Life Science Research at Scale using Hybrid GPU HPC and Kubernetes 🧬](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100355-running-secure-life-science-research-at-scale-using-hybrid-gpu-hpc-and-kubernetes) - [A Brief History of Data Storage](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/974-a-brief-history-of-data-storage) - [Playing Pong on a shoulder press machine](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100140-playing-pong-on-a-shoulder-press-machine) - [DevOps for AI: running LLMs in production with Kubernetes and KubeFlow](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1222-devops-for-ai-running-llms-in-production-with-kubernetes-and-kubeflow) - [JSON and Beyond](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/968-json-and-beyond) - [Agent Smith Gets Hardware: Autonomous IoT Hacking From Debug Port to Cloud API](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100258-agent-smith-gets-hardware-autonomous-iot-hacking-from-debug-port-to-cloud-api) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [MLOps – What’s the deal behind it?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/125-mlops-what-s-the-deal-behind-it) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production) - [7 Cloud Computing Trends Coming in 2025 for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/412-7-cloud-computing-trends-coming-in-2025-for-developers) - [MLOps And AI Driven Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/82-mlops-and-ai-driven-development) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift)
