## About the Role

Software Engineering, Oracle, Cloud Computing, Technical Leadership, Computer Science, Distributed Computing, Large-Scale Systems, Network Routing, Fleet Management, Embedded Systems, * 10+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking software, or systems software.

 * Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, and software design.
 * Strong familiarity with network routing protocols; implementation experience is highly desirable.
 * Experience building and operating modern CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment workflows for large-scale distributed systems.
 * Experience designing, building, and operating highly available, production-grade distributed services at scale.
 * Demonstrated technical leadership, including driving architecture, mentoring engineers, and leading cross-team technical initiatives.
 * BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

## Description

As a Lead Principal Platform Software Engineer, you will:

 * Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and evolution of highly scalable distributed systems that power OCI Networking.
 * Drive the technical direction of critical platform services supporting routing, workload placement, and fleet lifecycle management.
 * Partner across OCI organizations to build reliable, scalable, and operable cloud infrastructure.
 * Mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, and raise the engineering bar through technical leadership, design reviews, and operational excellence.
