## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
 * 15 years of experience in cloud computing (e.g., enterprise applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms and data).
 * 10 years of experience building enterprise storage systems.
 * Experience with private and public cloud design considerations in the areas of developer and operator productivity, virtualization, containers, high performance computing, data, security and config/policy automation.
 * Experience providing technical guidance and working with teams to deliver services for internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

 * Master's degree or PhD in in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
 * Experience in designing and implementing large-scale filesystems or distributed storage systems.
 * Experience leading product development of 2nd generation cloud products at scale.
 * Experience with any of the following IaaS solutions: Kubernetes, system virtualization, on-premise or hybrid cloud computing, cloud identity and security system, cloud monitoring and logging, or local and cloud storage.
 * Technical expertise in systems and software with the leadership skills needed to influence technical leaders across the company.

## Description

* Collaborate with peer tech leads in Google Distributed Cloud Edge Delivery (GDCE) to develop a strategic roadmap to remediate all reliability findings.
 * Collaborate with a global team of engineers and product managers to execute making appropriate tradeoffs between architecture, time-to-market, and business goals.
 * Drive systems and tools, and infrastructure strategic roadmap and development to improve the ability to scale GDC Storage.
 * Lead the overall Storage end-to-end technical strategy for GDC.
