## About the Role

You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly. Software internships are available across the company within different teams such as Mission Autonomy, Perception & Machine Learning, Platforms, Behaviors and Planning, C2 and Interfaces., * Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering,robotics, or a similar STEM field

 * Project-level experience with Python, C++, or Rust
 * Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals
 * Hands-on engineering experience through internships, personal projects, work, or teams
 * Ability to manage a complex technical project and take it through execution
 * Ability to learn and apply state-of-the-art techniques to technical projects
 * Excellent written and verbal communication
 * Able to work full-time, onsite for a minimum of 10-14 consecutive weeks

We're excited to offer software engineering internship opportunities for the Summer of 2027. As an intern, you will tackle real, open-ended problems that directly contribute to our mission of building autonomous systems for the most challenging environments. Working closely with a mentor and our engineering team, you will apply your knowledge and grow your skills through high-impact projects., Mission Autonomy - Builds the core autonomous mission execution capabilities that enable ground vehicles to independently navigate, adapt, and complete objectives in complex off-road environments without direct operator control.

Perception/ML - Develops the machine learning models and sensor processing pipelines that allow vehicles to understand and interpret terrain, obstacles, and their surroundings in real time.

Platforms - Owns the foundational software infrastructure, developer tooling, and systems that power the OverDrive autonomy stack and enable other engineering teams to build and deploy reliably.

Behaviors and Planning - Designs the decision-making and path planning algorithms that determine how vehicles navigate terrain, react to dynamic conditions, and execute tactical maneuvers.

C2 and Interfaces - Creates the intuitive OverWatch command-and-control interface that gives operators and commanders real-time situational awareness and precise coordination of autonomousvehicles.
