## About the Role

* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
 * Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
 * SAP Data & Analytics Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, CDS Views, ABAP fundamentals, SAP data extraction frameworks, and analytical data modeling best practices.
 * Programming, Databases & Data Engineering: Proficiency in Python and SQL, strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, and experience designing and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
 * Data Integration & Platforms: Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP data sources, leveraging SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Integration capabilities, Databricks, and modern data engineering frameworks.
 * Cloud Technologies & Infrastructure: Knowledge of cloud-based data platform architectures and modern cloud technologies; experience with Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts is a plus.
 * Business Analytics & Reporting: Understanding of reporting, analytics, planning, and business intelligence processes, as well as the underlying data models and requirements that support them.
 * Collaboration & Communication: Strong team-oriented mindset, creativity, and motivation to contribute to a shared vision, combined with excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus).
