Knowledge of:

 * A wide variety of computer software, hardware, telephony and peripherals.
 * University IT Security standards and incorporate that knowledge in the support process.
 * Interpersonal and customer service skills to assist and respond to questions from users with a range of technical understanding from very limited to advanced.
 * In depth hardware and software troubleshooting.
 * Installing operating systems and software.
 * Industry standards such as ITIL (information technology infrastructure library), ITSM (information technology service management)

Skill & Ability to:

 * Diagnose and resolve workstation, laptop and network problems.
 * Operate a variety of software applications.
 * Establish effective working relationships.
 * Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, staff, faculty and visitors
 * Work both independently and as part of a team.
 * Identify areas for professional growth and learn new skills
