## About the Role

Visa Sponsorship: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future., * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

 * 1-3 years of manufacturing, industrial, or engineering experience.
 * Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly systems, and process development.
 * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, SPC, and quality systems.
 * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
 * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
 * Effective communication and collaboration skills.
 * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or willingness to obtain certification.
 * Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
 * Knowledge of advanced or flexible manufacturing systems.
 * Experience implementing manufacturing technologies, systems, or process improvements.
 * Proven ability to lead projects and deliver measurable business results.
 * Experience working across departments, facilities, or complex manufacturing operations.

## Description

As a Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, improving, and sustaining the manufacturing systems that drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance across our operations. You will leverage Lean Manufacturing principles and data-driven decision making to identify opportunities, implement innovative solutions, and optimize manufacturing processes.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams that include Operations, Engineering, IT, Quality, and Program Management while contributing to strategic initiatives that support Mercury Marine's continued growth and operational excellence., * Support daily production by troubleshooting manufacturing process and system-related issues.

 * Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.
 * Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
 * Analyze manufacturing data to support process optimization and business decision-making.
 * Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing execution systems and related processes.
 * Create system specifications, Statements of Work, and qualification plans for new processes and technologies.
 * Support implementation of manufacturing technologies and system enhancements.
 * Serve as a subject matter expert for key manufacturing systems and applications.
 * Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, IT, and suppliers to resolve issues and improve performance.
 * Support new product introductions by developing efficient production processes and systems.
 * Participate in safety, ergonomics, and compliance initiatives.
 * Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and ISO-related activities.
