## About the Role

* 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
 * Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics, or a related analytical field
 * 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
 * 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience, * 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
 * 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
 * MBA, or CPA
 * Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
 * Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
 * Knowledge of SQL/ETL
 * 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

## Description

We support operations, safety, security, business development, and engineering. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers., As a member of this team, you will work with Regional AWS (Business and Finance) leadership to:

 * Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations
 * Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics
 * Manage the financial planning and month end close processes. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisions
 * Perform detailed NPV analysis in support of Strategic Initiatives and goals taken by finance and business teams.
 * Support financial analysis for ad-hoc projects and as needed.
 * Analyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives
 * Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast-growing AWS business
 * Preparing detailed financial models for business segments, drive business initiatives, and identify, implement, and deliver key operational efficiencies
 * Identify and lead projects to drive automation and process improvement
