## About the Role

* A few years of GIS, mapping or spatial data work
 * A degree in geography, GIS, planning or a related field, or equivalent experience
 * Lawful permanent resident or U.S. citizen status

Extra credit, not required

 * ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS, PostGIS or GDAL
 * Python or SQL
 * GIS work for a city, county, state DOT or public health agency
 * Remote sensing, lidar, imagery or a GISP, * GIS or mapping: 1 year (Preferred)

What you'll own

 * Editing, cleaning and updating map layers
 * Geocoding addresses and joining location data to records
 * Running spatial analysis on crashes, health services or emergency response
 * Making clear maps, web maps and dashboards
 * Automating repeat tasks with Python or model builder
 * Designing spatial databases and map services for an agency
