Job Duties

Experience with provisioning and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Salt.
Experience developing software for automation and management of IT infrastructure and systems at scale in a hybrid cloud environment.
Experience in full stack development.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Powershell, Automation, RESTful API, Javascript, Sql, Git. ect.
Knowledge of virtualization platforms (Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and experience with hardware infrastructure that supports the environment (servers, switches, storage, etc.).
Advanced experience with administration of Windows and Linux server operating systems.
Knowledge and experience with enterprise NAS environment.
Knowledge of Active Directory.
Knowledge and experience with networking.

## Description

The System IT Department at the University of North Texas System is seeking to hire a Sr Platform Engineer to join their team. The Sr Platform Engineer will work as part of a team and is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise systems hardware (physical/virtual) and software and related infrastructure. They will work to design and implement complex infrastructure solutions in a sustainable, supported, cost effective and reliable approach across different technologies per documented standards. This position will also manage a small data center. May manage multiple projects simultaneously.
