We'd Be Especially Interested If You Have Experience With * NIST SP 800-171 * CMMC * Defense or government contracting environments * Microsoft Autopilot * Microsoft Defender * Conditional Access * Apple Business Manager * Mobile device management * Linux administration * GPU hardware * NVIDIA systems * Local/offline AI deployment * CAD or engineering software such as SolidWorks * Manufacturing or engineering organizations * RF or specialized network environments * SharePoint administration * Security monitoring or vulnerability management * IT vendor management Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft MD-102, MS-102, or comparable credentials are useful but not required. ## Description We're looking for an IT & Cybersecurity Manager who wants to take real ownership of technology across the organization. You'll be the primary on-site owner of our IT environment: endpoints, identity, Microsoft 365, networks, hardware, access control, engineering workstations, technical infrastructure, documentation, vendors, and an increasingly important cybersecurity and compliance program. You'll work with company leadership, our engineering teams, and our remote IT/security resources-but you'll be the person on the ground making sure our technology actually works, scales, and stays secure. If you like building systems instead of simply inheriting them, this may be your kind of role. What You'll Own Company IT You'll take day-to-day ownership of IT across the organization, including: * Microsoft 365 * Microsoft Entra ID * Microsoft Intune * Windows endpoints * User accounts and access * Company hardware * Networking and Wi-Fi * Software deployment * Printers and peripherals * IT asset management * Technical documentation * Vendor relationships * Employee onboarding and offboarding, * Provisioning and managing users in Microsoft Entra ID * Managing groups, roles, licenses, and access permissions * Administering Microsoft Intune * Configuring Windows Autopilot * Deploying applications and security policies * Managing device enrollment and compliance * Coordinating Windows updates and drivers * Troubleshooting MFA and identity issues * Preparing and deploying new employee equipment * Managing account deactivation and device recovery during offboarding * Maintaining accurate equipment and access records You'll also help us improve automation wherever it makes sense. Cybersecurity & Defense Compliance Security is our top priority. You'll work closely with our IT/security resources and company leadership to help build and maintain a security environment appropriate for a growing defense contractor. You'll participate in: * CMMC Level 2 readiness * NIST SP 800-171 implementation * Security control implementation * System documentation * Evidence collection * Audit and assessment readiness * Identity and access management * Endpoint security * Vulnerability remediation * Security policies and procedures * Configuration management * Security awareness initiatives * Incident-response preparation You don't need to walk in knowing every CMMC control by memory. You do need to be interested in cybersecurity, willing to learn the environment deeply, and capable of turning requirements into systems that actually work. Engineering IT Our users aren't just working in Outlook and Excel. You'll support engineers working with specialized hardware and software, which may include: * High-performance engineering workstations * GPU-equipped systems * Linux environments * CAD and simulation software * AI/ML development environments * NVIDIA hardware * Specialized engineering devices * UAS-related systems * Test and development equipment You'll work directly with engineers to troubleshoot problems that don't fit neatly into a standard help-desk script. AI & Advanced Infrastructure As the company grows, you'll have the opportunity to help deploy and support technologies such as: * GPU servers * On-premise AI infrastructure * Offline/local AI models * Local LLM environments * Ollama, llama.cpp, vLLM, or similar platforms * Engineering compute infrastructure * Specialized network environments * Internal servers and storage You don't need to be an AI engineer. You should be the type of IT person who sees a new technology and immediately wants to understand how it works. Network & Infrastructure You'll also help own the physical side of the environment: * Switches * Wireless networks * Network cabling * Internet connectivity * NAS and storage devices * Server and equipment rooms * Hardware installations * Infrastructure expansion As we grow, you'll help determine what needs to change rather than simply reacting when we run out of capacity. Physical Security Technology You'll administer and support technology associated with facility access, including: * Badge-access systems * Employee credentials * Access permissions * Readers and controllers * Troubleshooting access issues * Maintaining access records Because we operate in the defense environment, you'll work closely with the appropriate security personnel when physical and information security overlap. Vendors & Technology Purchasing You'll help manage our relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including: * Hardware procurement * Software licensing * Internet and telecommunications providers * Warranty claims * Support escalations * Equipment installations * Technology evaluations We want someone who can identify what we need, evaluate options, and help us make good technology decisions-not simply place orders. Build the Playbook We're still growing, which means not every process has already been written for you. Part of your job will be creating the infrastructure behind the infrastructure. You'll build and maintain: * IT policies * Standard operating procedures * Equipment inventories * Network and system documentation * Configuration records * Onboarding/offboarding procedures * Security documentation * IT checklists and workflows * SharePoint-based documentation and tracking
