## About the Role

High School Diploma, college degree and/or prior experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate advanced understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Networking configurations and troubleshooting techniques. Understanding of Police/Fire emergency IT systems preferred.

Other Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Possession and maintenance of a valid Wisconsin driver's license. Ability to deal diplomatically with the public and other city departments.

## Description

* Assists with city wireless access points.
 * Monitors database and network shares.
 * Assists with city wired networks.
 * Assists with city server environment.
 * Audits city IT equipment inventory against automated systems.
 * Audits city computer patch level.
 * Audits city antivirus status.
 * Monitors city IT helpdesk ticket queue; doing research to solve problems where applicable.
 * Other duties as assigned.
