Responsibilities of the position includes but are not limited to administration and management of all of Medforth's enterprise databases, and ensuring SQL and Oracle-based related applications, such as the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Datawarehouse, Apex and .Net applications operate efficiently and effectively., * Ability to manage across multiple environments performing separate and distinct functions * Perform the administration and maintenance of databases in a multi-user operating system (OS) environment * Assist with database upgrades and patching, cloning, query analysis, and optimization, and ERP, CRM, LMS software patching in both development and production environments * Collaborate to design, plan, and implement new database environments * Install, configure and upgrade of Oracle server software and related products. Install and configure Ellucian Solution Manager (ESM), Application Navigator, Banner 9 Admin Pages and Banner 8 & 9 Self-Service, Jenkins Agent and Ellucian Ethos Identity and Integration services * Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products * Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures * Implement and maintain database security. Manage the overall security and integrity of the Organization's enterprise database infrastructure. Create and maintain users and roles and assign privileges * Design, build, patch, upgrade, tune, and support the multi-instance database environment * Perform database and application tuning and performance monitoring * Implement standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security, and performance * Perform reviews on the design and code to ensure the Organization's standards are being adhered to * Assist with impact analysis of any changes made to database objects * Plan growth and changes by completing capacity and performance planning * Write complex technical documentation * Influence, train, mentor, and leverage the skills of others, including business partners and technical team * Write and debug complex Structured Query Language (SQL) * Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required * Interface with Vendors for technical support * Perform other duties and projects as assigned
