* Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
 * Security+ Certification or higher
 * Bachelors Degree and 12 years of Networking, Network Security, Cyber, or Similar discipline; OR no Degree and 16+ years of experience
 * Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise network security architectures
 * Experience serving as a senior technical lead over network/security engineering teams
 * Experience leading security engineering projects from planning through production implementation
 * Hands-on experience with: Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), IDS/IPS platforms, VPN and encryption technologies, TLS inspection/proxy technologies, Network Access Control (NAC)
 * Strong experience with network segmentation and secure connectivity initiatives
 * Deep understanding of: TCP/IP,Routing and switching,VLANs,DNS/DHCP/IPAM,NAT,QoS, Cloud-connected and software-defined networking

## Description

This candidate will serve as the senior technical authority responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing enterprise-scale network security solutions across a large and highly secure environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security architecture, segmentation, next-generation firewalls, network access control, Zero Trust initiatives, and secure cloud connectivity. This individual will assess current-state security posture, define future-state architecture, and lead implementation teams through complex modernization efforts. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can balance architecture, engineering, cybersecurity compliance, and operational execution while driving mission-critical security improvements in a highly regulated DoD environment.
