## About the Role

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), * High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

2 years of work experience in a lab setting required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 * Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
 * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first approach.
 * Ability to read and understand SDS documentation and DOT labeling requirements.
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

## Description

* Monitor and respond to cold storage alarms during regular business hours and as part of an after-hours on-call rotation. Investigate alarm conditions, identify root causes, and coordinate or implement appropriate resolutions, including initiating work orders and relocating temperature-sensitive inventory when necessary. This role requires availability for after-hours, weekend, and holiday response as needed.
 * Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming and outgoing research shipments in compliance with compatibility guidelines and DOT regulations.
 * Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to perform filtration and aliquot preparation, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
 * Handle gas cylinder order placements and possess knowledge of gas meters, with the ability to safely manage encounters with HAZMAT materials.
 * Conduct routine maintenance to ensure laboratory equipment operates effectively and meets safety and compliance standards.
 * Perform specific tasks associated with labware operations, including precision cleaning, inventory management, quality control, and sterilization through autoclaving.
 * Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & Work Instructions
 * Maintain accurate records, fulfill contractual obligations, and assist in tracking business metrics.
 * May perform other duties as assigned by management., * This position requires participation in an after-hours on-call rotation to support cold storage alarm monitoring and response. Employees must be available to respond to alarms outside of regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may be required to report to the customer site to address alarm conditions.
 * The role primarily involves working independently at customer sites, which may include areas with chemical-based allergens like penicillin and tetracycline.
 * Personal protective equipment, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes, is often required.
 * The position requires regular lifting of 30-40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and using equipment like pushcarts and forklifts to move up to 100 lbs. Standing, walking, and manual material handling of chemical containers are frequent activities, sometimes in varied temperature environments.
 * Overtime work may also be necessary.
