Able to exhibit a progression of increasingly complex job responsibilities, including project management skills, engineering remediation techniques, and project planning and implementation * Certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a positive * Certification as a Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) Core Infrastructure or Productivity is a positive ## Description * Monitor system performance and capacity of infrastructure-related technologies. * Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with existing systems to identify and resolve problems. * Designing, building, testing, and deploying new computer systems based on firm standards in our offices and data center locations. * Maintaining and updating existing computer networks and adding new features as needed. * Recommending new technologies that could improve efficiency or productivity within the organization. * Coordinating with others for projects or maintenance involving multiple departments within the organization. * Work closely with IS and others to understand their business needs and goals, and translate them into technical requirements when necessary. * Coordinating with vendors to purchase new hardware or software products. * Testing new or revised hardware and software solutions to ensure it performs as expected. * Maintaining existing technology, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. * Develop and document processes and procedures to reduce the number of reoccurring system issues. * Demonstrate commitment to excellence in customer support and have the ability to secure customer cooperation under pressure conditions. * Perform other IS-related duties as assigned. * Support other non-IS projects and initiatives as needed. * Ensure the department maintains technical skills in the Microsoft server technology area. * Provide supporting documentation, reports, and other information to management. * Participate in a week-long after-hours support escalation coverage rotation. * Design, document, and Participate in Business Continuity Testing. * Write technical documentation to help others understand our systems.
