## About the Role

* 6-7+ years of strong hands-on Databricks experience
 * Approximately 3+ years working in a Data Architect / technical architecture capacity
 * Must remain hands-on technically - this is not a high-level architecture/management role
 * Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms
 * Pharma/life sciences experience strongly preferred
 * Consulting/client-facing experience preferred

Technical requirements

 * Deep hands-on Databricks
 * PySpark / Spark
 * AWS cloud data environment
 * Data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and automation
 * End-to-end data architecture and pipeline design
 * Production-grade data platform experience
 * DBT exposure/experience
 * Snowflake experience is a plus
 * Ability to establish architecture/design standards and conduct technical/design reviews
 * Ability to guide data engineers while still contributing hands-on

 * Positive attitude
 * Excellent listener; does not interrupt or talk over others
 * Able to read the room and adjust communication appropriately
