This opportunity is ideal for someone with hands-on experience supporting enterprise vulnerability scanning tools who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, improving operational processes, and using automation to make security environments more efficient. The team is responsible for maintaining and engineering the infrastructure behind its vulnerability management platforms, ensuring scanning processes run successfully, identifying gaps in asset coverage, and supporting integrations between security tools. This is a hands-on security engineering and operations position, not primarily a vulnerability remediation or SOC monitoring role. Responsibilities * Support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and health of enterprise vulnerability management platforms, including Qualys and related security tools. * Monitor vulnerability scanning activities, automated jobs, integrations, and platform health to identify failures or operational issues. * Investigate failed scans, missing assets, authentication issues, unhealthy agents, and gaps in vulnerability scanning coverage. * Assist with configuring and maintaining scanning schedules, scanner settings, asset scope, and related platform components. * Help troubleshoot connectivity, configuration, and integration issues impacting vulnerability scanning and reporting. * Use Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages to support existing automation and improve repetitive operational tasks. * Work with REST APIs and integrations to help validate data exchange between security platforms and enterprise systems. * Partner with infrastructure, cloud, network, and security engineering teams to investigate issues and coordinate resolutions. * Support vulnerability management reporting, operational documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Gain exposure to emerging Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) processes and technologies.
