## About the Role

* 6+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or platform engineering.
 * Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
 * Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
 * Experience using Helm for Kubernetes application deployment and management.
 * Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
 * Knowledge of container hardening and secure deployment practices.
 * Experience working with AWS GovCloud.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with Envoy for gateway or proxy functionality.
 * Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for application and infrastructure observability.
 * Experience working with Iron Bank container images.
 * Active Secret security clearance.
 * Ability to meet Tier 5 eligibility requirements if privileged administration is required.

## Description

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building, securing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure and automated deployment pipelines that support this modernization effort. You will work with modern cloud-native technologies while helping ensure existing mission-critical applications remain operational throughout the transition.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact federal modernization initiative using AWS GovCloud, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and secure CI/CD practices.

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

 * Build, configure, and maintain infrastructure as code using OpenTofu and Helm within Kubernetes environments hosted on AWS GovCloud.
 * Support the development and operation of a secure, scalable, and reliable application platform.
 * Maintain consistency across environments by promoting the same code through established deployment processes.

DevSecOps & CI/CD Automation

 * Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines within the customer's GitLab environment.
 * Integrate automated build, security scanning, policy enforcement, testing, evidence collection, and deployment stages into delivery pipelines.
 * Apply container security and hardening practices to support secure application deployments.

Platform Operations & Observability

 * Operate and maintain the integration gateway and observability stack to support platform reliability and performance.
 * Support ongoing platform operations while maintaining the stability of existing production applications.
 * Collaborate with technical teams to enable secure, repeatable application onboarding and deployment processes.
