## About the Role

* Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
 * 8+ years of experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology).

Preferences

 * Experience providing specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines is preferred.
 * Experience performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products is preferred.
 * Experience supporting complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support is preferred.
 * Experience assisting with planning and conversion for new hardware and software products is preferred.
 * Experience maintaining, debugging, and configuring software products is preferred.
 * Experience supporting operating systems planning and evaluation, including performance analysis, capacity planning, and hardware upgrades, is preferred.
 * Experience working from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications is preferred.
 * Experience assisting with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs is preferred.
 * Experience coordinating with system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve operating system efficiency is preferred.
 * Experience preparing product documentation is preferred.
 * Experience interfacing with customers to gather information on system requirements or problems is preferred.

## Description

 * Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, and applications implications.
 * Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
 * Assists in the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products.
 * Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products.
 * Provides operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades.
 * Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
 * Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
 * Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system.
 * Prepares product documentation.
 * Interfaces with customers to gather information on system requirements or problems.
