Communication: * Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams across multiple locations and time zones. * Strong written and verbal technical communication skills * Exceptional ability to speak and write effectively in a business environment * Exceptional ability to ask necessary questions Math & Reasoning: * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions * Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written,oral, or diagram form * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to adapt to change and take initiative Physical and Environmental Elements Physical Demands: * Ability to sit continuously for over three quarters of the normal work shift, and stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for at least one fourth of the normal work shift * Ability to lift and carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds * Ability to stoop, crouch and reach * Ability to talk or hear continuously * Ability to see clearly to do all work-related tasks (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less) * Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 3/4 of the normal work shift including operating a phone, computer/ electronic equipment, and electronic tools, * Maintain annual OSHA safety certifications as required by job duties * Driving record that is insurable * Must live within reasonable commutable distance to corporate office * Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% as business needs require. ## Description * Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and CAM plug-ins that extract tooling, holder, and fixture data from commercial CAM systems. * Develop software that translates STEP (ISO 10303), ISO 13399, GTC, and CAM-native tooling data into formats optimized for Okuma OSP controls. * Create solutions that map tooling attributes such as tool type, length offsets, radius offsets, holder assignments, and cutting geometry into control-ready datasets. * Process, interpret, and tessellate 3D solid geometry for machine simulation, visualization, and collision avoidance applications. * Develop and support applications using C#, .NET, WinForms, and WPF technologies. * Design scalable software architectures, reusable libraries, and supporting services that promote long-term maintainability and performance. * Build automated testing frameworks and validation tools to ensure software quality, reliability, and accuracy. * Utilize source control systems, branching methodologies, and CI/CD practices to support efficient development and software release processes. * Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, deployment procedures, and support resources. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards that encourage consistency, quality, and knowledge sharing. * Translate business requirements and technical objectives into effective software solutions and detailed technical specifications. * Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software issues while providing ongoing support and enhancement development. * Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, and technology partners to identify opportunities for product enhancement and process improvement. * Support software implementation projects and customer-facing initiatives as needed. * Travel periodically to customer sites, partner organizations, and company facilities to support development activities, implementation efforts, and project success. * Adhere to company policies, safety practices, and quality standards. * Perform additional responsibilities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
