## About the Role

* Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
 * 10+ years of hands-on Java/JEE development and technical leadership.
 * Strong Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Batch, Spring JDBC, JPA/Hibernate experience.
 * Strong Angular/React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js and Single-Page Application (SPA) development.
 * Hands-on Microservices, RESTful APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML/JSON.
 * Strong AWS, OpenShift, Docker and cloud-native application development.
 * Experience with PostgreSQL and DB2, including data access/ORM.
 * Strong DevOps/CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube, Fortify, Jira, UrbanCode Deploy.
 * Experience with JUnit, Mockito, TDD and BDD/Cucumber/Gherkin.
 * Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency, scalable applications, including performance tuning, caching, asynchronous processing and load balancing.
 * Experience with Agile development and working as a hands-on Technical Lead.
 * Knowledge of web application security, OAuth2/JWT, and secure web services.
 * Experience with Struts, Tomcat/WebSphere and enterprise Java technologies.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Nice to Have / Desired:

 * Kafka and event-driven architecture - producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Streams/Connect.
 * Experience applying AI to improve or redesign application architectures.
 * Section 508 accessibility experience.
 * Federal/state government IT project experience.
 * Experience writing technical white papers and system design/UML documents.
 * Exposure to ServiceNow, Pega, or Microsoft Power Platform.
 * Experience with Visio/Confluence and architecture documentation.
