You'll likely succeed in this role if you're a self-starter who can think on your feet, troubleshoot methodically, communicate confidently, and move comfortably between the engineering office and the plant floor. You should also be comfortable working in industrial environments that may include power plants, underground mining operations, oil & gas facilities, and other heavy industrial locations.
