## About the Role

## Description

The Applications Development team partners with business stakeholders across HDC to develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications that enable the Corporation's business operations.

The Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting custom business applications while working closely with senior developers, project managers, and business stakeholders. This position will primarily support HDC's existing application portfolio while participating in modernization efforts and contributing to the adoption of modern software development practices.

The ideal candidate is an experienced .NET developer who enjoys solving business problems, supporting enterprise applications, and continuously improving software quality., * Design, develop, test, document, and maintain secure and reliable business applications.

 * Enhance and support existing custom .NET applications.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while providing ongoing application support.
 * Participate in the modernization of legacy applications using current .NET technologies.
 * Develop REST APIs and reusable application components.
 * Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
 * Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
 * Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices.
 * Utilize Azure DevOps for work tracking, sprint planning, and software delivery.
 * Work with source control systems and follow established branching and deployment processes.
 * Support enterprise platforms including Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Formstack, and other business applications as required.
 * Assist with technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team.
 * Stay current with Microsoft technologies and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.
