## About the Role

Applicants in San Francisco: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

 * 10 years of experience in cloud computing environment, or in a customer-facing role.
 * Experience in database technologies, administration and management tools, performance tuning techniques, SQL, troubleshooting, and data migration strategies to Google Cloud.
 * Experience delivering technical presentations and live demonstrations of database products., * Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
 * Experience in disaster recovery and data backup strategies.
 * Experience with optimizing database performance with respect to transactional or analytic workloads.
 * Experience with data migration strategies and moving large-scale production systems either in on-premise/data center environments or migration to cloud scenarios, and SQL skills with deep query troubleshooting knowledge.
 * Understanding of complex customer's existing software workloads and ability to define a technical migration roadmap to the Cloud reflecting specific customer needs.
 * Excellent skills in SQL, NoSQL, and Performance tuning.

## Description

* Partner with technical sales teams as a data management subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers.
 * Help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges.
 * Engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks related to database and application migrations and data back ends for new application development.
 * Engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.
