## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
 * Seven or more years of professional experience developing applications with C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
 * Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, NET Core, and Core API.
 * Experience with RESTful APIs.
 * Experience with WPF is a plus.
 * Strong SQL Server and database-development skills.
 * Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
 * Experience with Git or another source-control system.
 * Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation, with the ability to review AI-generated output for accuracy, security, and maintainability.
 * Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with DevOps, including IIS, SSL, Windows Server, and application deployment.
 * Experience with Telerik, Syncfusion, Microsoft Graph, or third-party system integrations.
 * Experience modernizing legacy business applications.

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates is seeking an experienced Senior ASP.NET / C# Developer to develop, enhance, and support business applications using Microsoft technologies., * Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server.

 * Support and modernize existing ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC applications.
 * Develop application features, APIs, integrations, reports, and internal tools.
 * Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-access code.
 * Troubleshoot application, database, and production issues.
 * Collaborate with business users and technical teams to define and implement solutions.
 * Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and technical documentation.
 * Follow secure coding and software-development best practices.
