## About the Role

* Experience in an managed IT services environment
 * 5+ years of IT experience, with MSP or multi-client experience strongly preferred
 * Hands-on experience completing Microsoft 365 or infrastructure projects independently
 * Strong skills in several of these: Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, networking, VMware/Hyper-V, backup/DR, EDR, and PowerShell
 * Experience with RMM and PSA platforms
 * Clear communication with clients and non-technical users
 * The organization to juggle several projects without letting anything sit quietly, * MSP: 1 year (Required)
 * Microsoft systems engineering: 5 years (Required)
 * Microsoft 365: 5 years (Required)

## Description

This is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Independence, OH to hire a Senior Systems Engineer. This is a project and escalation role, not a help desk position.

You'll own client IT projects from discovery to completion, act as the senior technical resource for the service team, and work directly with clients across a variety of environments.

If you're an MSP engineer who likes owning the whole project, not just the tickets, this is your next step!, * Lead Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and OneDrive modernization projects

 * Migrate users and devices from on-prem Active Directory to Microsoft cloud environments
 * Configure Conditional Access, MFA, device compliance, and Microsoft 365 security
 * Deploy, upgrade, and migrate Windows Servers, including AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services
 * Design and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, switching, wireless, and site-to-site connectivity
 * Support virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), backup and disaster recovery, EDR/MDR, and email security
 * Serve as the escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians and fix root causes, not just symptoms
 * Build project plans, keep tickets and time entries current, and flag risks or scope changes early
 * Document as you go and hand completed projects cleanly to the service desk
 * Mentor junior technicians

Nice to Haves: ConnectWise, N-central, Datto, SentinelOne, WatchGuard, UniFi, Check Point, and Microsoft, networking, or security certifications. The client values strong fundamentals and real project experience over certifications.
