## About the Role

* Approximately 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience
 * Strong production experience with TypeScript and React
 * Experience building and shipping customer-facing web applications
 * Experience owning meaningful product features from concept through production
 * Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, application state, testing, and browser performance
 * Ability to build responsive, polished, and maintainable user interfaces
 * Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and backend services
 * Strong product judgment and attention to user experience
 * Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly
 * Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing or ambiguous requirements
 * Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco multiple days per week; some opportunities require five days onsite

Strongly Preferred

 * Production experience with Next.js
 * Experience at an early-stage, high-growth, or venture-backed startup
 * Evidence of building zero-to-one products or major features
 * Measurable examples of product, customer, operational, or business impact
 * Experience with data-heavy, analytics, developer-tool, infrastructure, or AI-powered products
 * Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Node.js, tRPC, PostgreSQL, or AWS
 * Experience working directly with product users or customers
 * Experience collaborating with machine-learning, data, or research teams
 * A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field

## Description

* Building polished, responsive, and intuitive web applications
 * Developing production user interfaces using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
 * Creating user experiences for complex, data-intensive, or AI-powered products
 * Translating product requirements, customer needs, and technical concepts into usable features
 * Owning features from initial concept and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and iteration
 * Building dashboards, internal tools, workflows, data visualizations, or customer-facing product experiences
 * Improving frontend performance, reliability, accessibility, and maintainability
 * Integrating frontend applications with APIs, backend services, databases, and data-processing systems
 * Collaborating with product managers, designers, researchers, customers, and backend or machine-learning engineers
 * Contributing to technical decisions in a fast-moving startup environment
 * Shipping frequently and responding quickly to user feedback, The strongest candidates are product-minded engineers-not developers who only implement predefined tickets. You should be able to explain:
 * What you personally designed and built
