## About the Role

* 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including participation in at least two production data migrations.
 * Advanced SQL expertise with PostgreSQL and at least one commercial relational database.
 * Hands-on experience with ETL tools or Python scripting for data transformation and validation.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience working with AWS GovCloud, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), or comparable migration tools.
 * Familiarity with records-retention requirements.
 * Active Secret security clearance.

In this role, you will lead complex data migration initiatives, ensuring the accurate, secure, and reliable transfer of data between enterprise systems. You will play a critical role in designing repeatable migration processes, maintaining data integrity, and supporting successful production transitions., This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned data engineering professional who brings strong SQL expertise, hands-on migration experience, and a commitment to delivering reliable solutions in a federal environment.

 * Plan and lead large-scale data migrations between enterprise systems, including data profiling, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
 * Design and build repeatable, auditable migration pipelines with comprehensive validation reporting and rollback capabilities.
 * Execute trial migrations, identify and resolve data-quality issues in collaboration with data owners, and support production cutover activities.
 * Document data lineage, migration methodologies, and key decisions to support audit requirements, knowledge transfer, and operational handoff.
