## About the Role

* Understanding of Kubernetes concepts such as deployments, services, pods, namespaces, and resource management.
 * Experience with Ontology Web Language (OWL) or Resource Description Framework (RDF).
 * Experience with Kubernetes operators and custom resource definitions (CRDs).
 * Experience with Kubernetes monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
 * Experience with Apache Spark is a plus.
 * Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS.

Qualifications

Required Technical Skills:

 * Experience with Python or Java.
 * Experience with web application development frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, Spring Boot).
 * Experience with data pipelines and data processing tools.
 * Experience with REST (Representational State Transfer).
 * Experience with Java, Python.
 * Experience Data visualization and interactive dashboards libraries (Solid, React, or JQuery)
 * Familiar with Kubernetes & operators and custom resource definitions (CRDs).
 * Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Basic Requirements:

 * Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph required
 * Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
 * Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

 * Four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

## Description

* The team is seeking an experienced application developer to be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying a complex and scalable web application that leverages a Kubernetes cluster to orchestrate a collection of containerized services., Design & Development:
 * Design and develop robust and scalable web application architecture.
 * Develop and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Python or Java.
 * Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and serving data to the web application.
 * Develop and implement data visualization and interactive dashboards using libraries like Solid, React, or JQuery.

Integration, Testing, & Deployment:

 * Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
 * Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
 * Deploy and maintain the web application in a production environment.
