## About the Role

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date., Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, * Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience

 * The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
 * Experience in System Security Engineering and/or Cybersecurity Engineering and/or System Administration or IT/Network Administration
 * Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Qualifications We Prefer

 * Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
 * Managerial or leadership experience
 * Technical hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and products including anti-virus, host-based or endpoint security solutions including HIDS/HIPS, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools (e.g.,Splunk, IBM QRadar, Elasticsearch)
 * Linux Bash scripting or Python scripting experience. Comfort using command line in Linux/Unix and experience with automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible
 * Security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software operating systems and application solutions in both a stand-alone, air-gapped environment and in LAN/WAN configurations
 * Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies, and comfortable with building and securely configuring virtual machines images. Experience with hypervisors such as VMWare, OpenShift, V-Sphere
 * DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II Compliant Certification (e.g. Security+, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent)
 * Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by DoD or Intelligence agencies. Experience researching vulnerabilities and/or cybersecurity threats. Experience with Tenable Nessus vulnerability scanning tool suite
 * Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration, hardening/patching operating systems, and account management best practices for UNIX, Microsoft Windows/Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) hardening of operating systems a plus
 * Experience with IT/network administration, securely configuring networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls) and software-defined networking or storage devices. Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) hardening of operating systems a plus
 * Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and experience implementing DoD and Authorization and Accreditation Processes, RMF controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO)
 * Familiar with Program Protection Plan (PPP) required by DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5200.39. Understanding of maintaining compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies
 * General understanding of secure architectures, the Systems Engineering development lifecycle, and an understanding Agile software development methodologies and principles
 * Experience with technical documentation and technical writing
 * Prior experience working within the defense industry on classified U.S. Government information systems a plus

## Description

* Interact with the customer to define SSE requirements, architecture, solutions, trade studies and vendor product analysis, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
 * Develop, design, integrate, test, and maintain various cybersecurity capabilities for National Security Systems
 * Ensure compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls
 * Develop top-level system requirements and flow down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystem
 * Develop plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans
 * Consult and assist program management with SSE architecture and issues and deliver technical briefings to leadership
 * Define security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components and provide all associated technical documentation
 * Integrate cybersecurity development activities and support test and integration activities
 * Support the development of bids and proposals
