## About the Role

* A bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2-10+ years of relevant engineering experience (higher experience levels also acceptable; equivalent master's degree combinations recognized).
 * Experience with C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.
 * Experience using IDEs and debugging tools.
 * Experience with lab instrumentation, hardware interfaces, protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422).
 * Experience with UML, configuration management, Azure DevOps/GitHub.
 * Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Visual Studio.
 * Must maintain a U.S. Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
 * Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance prior to start; U.S. citizenship required., * Understanding computer architecture and optimization techniques.
 * Experience developing software drivers for hardware interfaces.
 * Knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422.
 * Familiarity with test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies).
 * Experience with UML, Agile/Waterfall lifecycle models, Azure DevOps or GitHub.
 * Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

## Description

* Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C#, C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio within a Windows OS environment.
 * Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation.
 * Work effectively in multidiscipline engineering teams.
 * Prioritize and execute multiple tasks concurrently.
 * Derive and develop software requirements.
 * (Principal level) Lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers.
