Consumers Credit Union is looking for a curious, detail-oriented, and collaborative Application Security Analyst to join our growing Information Security team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career cybersecurity professional, software developer, or IT professional who wants to expand their application security expertise. You'll work closely with software development, business systems, and technology teams to identify security risks, support remediation efforts, and help embed security throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Location/Schedule * Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week at our corporate office in Lake Forest, IL - Local Northern Illinois and Southeast Wisconsin candidates only * Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation approximately once every 6 weeks What You'll Do * Assist with application security testing using industry tools and technologies to identify potential vulnerabilities * Review and analyze security findings and work with development teams to support remediation efforts * Help monitor and maintain Web Application Firewall (WAF) protections and investigate potential threats * Participate in secure design discussions, code reviews, and security assessments * Support API security reviews and help ensure secure handling of sensitive information * Track and validate vulnerability remediation activities across teams * Maintain documentation related to application security processes, standards, and tools * Research emerging cybersecurity threats and application security best practices (OWASP Top 10, SANS CWE Top 25) * Collaborate with developers and technology teams to promote secure coding practices throughout the SDLC
