## About the Role

* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
 * Strong working knowledge of UNIX environment/Unix commands
 * Database knowledge with sql - MySQL, InfluxDB
 * Strong scripting knowledge - Python/Bash
 * Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
 * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
 * Ability to switch and track various ongoing tasks and issues is required
 * Attention to detail in problem solving
 * Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic trading environment
 * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred:

 * Experience using Jira as a ticket/work request system
 * Experience using Grafana/InfluxDB/Icinga
 * Linux desktop support experience
 * Experience with version control systems such as git/puppet
 * Network troubleshooting and analysis experience

## Description

We are hiring a trade desk support engineer to join our IT department to handle L1 thru L3 level support of service requests/incidents in a professional and timely manner. Customer service and production support are the most important aspects of this role., * Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments

 * Proactive identification and resolution of production issues
 * Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements/ automation with scripting
 * Troubleshooting and resolution of complex systems issues
 * Production Deployments of all infrastructure components
 * Off hours pager support on a rotating schedule
