## About the Role

Open Source, Analysis Skills, Structured Data, Government Off-the Shelf (GOTS), Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS), Desktop PC, Internet Application, Data Analysis, Data Visualization, Graphics, * Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance

 * Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
 * Senior-level experience in data engineering, database design, and analytics development
 * Experience with: Java, AWS, ETL experience, Spark / Scala, SQL / PLSQL, Postgres, NiFi, Informatica, Linux, data pipelines (development, optimization, & tuning)
 * Strong experience working with structured and semi-structured data sources
 * Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale database and data warehouse systems
 * Proficiency with data visualization tools and analytic software for desktop and web environments
 * 10+ years of related experience, * Experience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programs
 * Familiarity with high-performance computing environments
 * Experience integrating data analytics solutions into existing enterprise architectures

## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer (SME) to support advanced intelligence and analytics initiatives in Huntsville, AL. The selected engineer will work with a combination of open-source technologies, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) tools to develop and deliver an advanced visual analytic application. This application will transform streams of structured and semi-structured data into manageable, actionable intelligence for mission-critical operations., * Design, develop, and deliver advanced visual analytic applications for desktop and web-based platforms

 * Develop and implement data analytics solutions that enable bulk analysis of relational and semi-structured data
 * Utilize advanced graphics, data visualization techniques, and high-performance computing to support intelligence workflows
 * Design strategies for enterprise database systems, including standards for operations, programming, and security
 * Design, construct, and maintain large-scale relational databases
 * Integrate new systems with existing data warehouse architectures
 * Optimize system performance, scalability, and functionality
 * Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and mission teams to ensure successful delivery of analytics solutions
 * Apply open-source, COTS, and GOTS technologies to meet program and government requirements
