## About the Role

* 8+ years of software engineering experience
 * Prior experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or similar role
 * Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern backend development frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
 * Experience building REST APIs and microservices architectures
 * Experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
 * Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
 * Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
 * Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience

 * Distributed systems and asynchronous processing
 * Event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration
 * Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, SQS, or similar messaging technologies
 * Microservices and platform engineering

## Description

We are seeking a Development Lead to provide technical leadership for a growing software engineering team supporting strategic internal platforms and AI-enabled initiatives. This individual will serve as a hands-on technical leader, partnering with software engineers, business stakeholders, and leadership teams to design, build, and support scalable enterprise applications.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer or technical lead who enjoys a blend of architecture, development, mentoring, and delivery leadership.

Responsibilities

 * Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise software applications
 * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
 * Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
 * Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices
 * Support solution architecture, technical design, and delivery planning
 * Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support production environments
 * Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, estimation, and backlog refinement
 * Collaborate with U.S. and offshore development resources
 * Support technical hiring and team growth initiatives
