## About the Role

Systems Administration/Management, Systems Administration/Management, Security Clearance, Secret Clearance, Information Technology & Information Systems, Network Operations Center, Government, Relational Databases (RDBMS), Microsoft Windows System Administration, Identify Issues, * Active Secret security clearance.

 * IAT Level II certification, with one of the following:
 + CompTIA CySA+
 + CompTIA Security+
 + CCNA-Security
 + GICSP
 + GSEC
 + SSCP
 * Hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux servers.
 * Working knowledge of at least one relational database platform, such as SQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or five years of equivalent professional experience.
 * Strong troubleshooting, systems administration, server management, database administration, backup and recovery, and infrastructure support skills.
 * Ability to work 100% on-site in Suffolk, VA., * Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification.
 * Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist (RHCDS) certification.
 * Experience supporting data center operations.
 * Department of Defense or federal government IT experience.
 * Experience supporting DevSecOps, cybersecurity, network engineering, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.

## Description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator II to support a Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline, core infrastructure, and data center operations in an on-site government IT environment., The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering Windows and Linux servers, supporting relational databases, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and maintaining secure, reliable IT environments. This role will contribute to mission-critical Department of Defense and federal IT initiatives., * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, desktop operating systems, databases, and software applications.

 * Monitor server, network, systems, and data center operations to ensure reliable performance and network availability.
 * Diagnose and resolve system, hardware, software, communications, and connectivity issues.
 * Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components.
 * Perform system backups, database administration, file recovery, and related data management activities.
 * Optimize system performance, resource utilization, capacity, and operational reliability.
 * Conduct testing and analysis of system components, including communication networks, hardware, software, power systems, modems, terminals, and related infrastructure.
 * Support relational database environments such as SQL, Oracle, and MySQL.
 * Provide technical assistance and responsive support to end users.
 * Support the operation and maintenance of mission-critical government IT infrastructure.
