## About the Role

* Strong knowledge of Full Function, Fast Path, and HALDB databases
\n

 * Experience with secondary indexing, logical relationships, sparsing routines using Assembler, replication, compression, and encryption.
\n

 * Experience with database performance and tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, physical database design and build, backup, and recovery.
\n

 * Strong IBM z/OS experience
\n

 * Hands-on experience as an IMS Application DBA supporting IMS DB.
\n

 * Experience with IMS utilities and database maintenance activities.
\n

 * Experience troubleshooting database abends, including Uxxx and S0Cxx errors.
\n

 * Experience resolving data corruption and data integrity issues
\n

 * Knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and REXX
\n

 * Experience with batch and online IMS environments, including IMS DB/DC.
\n

 * Experience with IMS Database Administration Utilities and BMC utility/monitoring tools or equivalent.
\n

 * Experience with IMS database types, including Full Function DB, Fast Path DB, and HALDB
\n

 * Experience with database definition, allocation, dataset management, REORGs, and space management.
\n

 * Knowledge of DBD, PSB, ACB libraries, and IMS Catalog
\n

 * Experience with Load/Unload, Reorganization, Image Copy, and recovery utilities such as DFSURGL0 and DFSUICP0.
\n

 * Experience performing Image Copy recovery and point-in-time recovery.
\n

 * Strong database performance and tuning experience., * Experience integrating IMS with DB2, CICS, MQ, and distributed systems.
\n

 * Experience with OMEGAMON, MainView, or similar performance-monitoring tools.
\n

 * Exposure to IMS modernization, APIs, or z/OS Connect
\n

 * REXX or other scripting/automation experience
\n

 * Experience with large-scale IMS database migrations or consolidation.

 * Experience with data replication or data integration solutions
