## About the Role

* 8+ years of experience in SAS, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
 * Strong experience in system integration, data automation, and dashboard development.
 * Experience working with healthcare, public health, or administrative datasets.
 * Strong knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
 * Experience with ETL, data pipelines, data validation, and testing.
 * Ability to document technical requirements and programming solutions.
 * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

 * Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, XML, eCR/eICR, and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
 * Experience with public health surveillance systems and healthcare registries.
 * Experience with data linkage, matching, and interoperability.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 to support healthcare data integration, automation, and system modernization projects for the Texas Department of State Health Services.
