## About the Role

* Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
 * Minimum of 16 years of relevant experience in database engineering or administration
 * Strong experience with cloud databases, cross-domain solutions, and big data platforms
 * Proficiency in SQL and experience with leading database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
 * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex data problems and system performance issues
 * Ability to translate business requirements into efficient database designs and queries

Preferred Education & Experience

 * Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with recent experience in the last 2 years
 * Alternatively, 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise database engineering roles
 * Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures, data pipeline tools, and modern data storage frameworks

## Description

* Design & Implementation: Architect and manage database systems aligned with evolving business and user requirements.
 * Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor database health, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement optimization strategies.
 * Data Management: Develop and maintain schemas, tables, views, and data dictionaries; support data migration and transformation activities.
 * Backup & Recovery: Design and execute robust backup and recovery solutions to safeguard against data loss or corruption.
 * Collaboration: Partner with developers, system administrators, and analysts to ensure data consistency and support application development efforts.
 * Security Compliance: Secure databases against unauthorized access, ensuring adherence to relevant cybersecurity and compliance standards.
 * Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation for database architecture, configurations, and performance metrics.
