## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
 * Experience in application development and testing in C# or equivalent
 * Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React
 * Experience in designing and building APIs
 * Solid understanding of relational databases
 * Knowledge of observability; monitoring, logging, and alerting
 * DevOps experience, Git-based workflows and CI/CD
 * Self-starter with strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
 * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

 * Experience in the Financial Services industry
 * Solid understanding of the .NET stack
 * Experience working in an Azure environment

## Description

Mesirow Currency is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to help develop our proprietary systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers and business stakeholders, taking ownership of well-scoped features while building your knowledge of our systems and the currency-management business., * Own delivery of features and enhancements to our portfolio management and trading systems while also solving for changing business needs

 * Develop and maintain reliable, performant production applications, with attention to correctness and maintainability
 * Participate in an agile team dynamic; own testing through test automation, drive DevOps capabilities and CI/CD across environments.
 * Leverage authorized AI tools to improve SDLC velocity and increase system reliability.
 * Contribute to code reviews, refactoring, and improvements informed by testing, performance measurements, and production feedback
 * Investigate and resolve application issues, collaborating with other engineers on complex problems
